Bringing your pet in.
Wondering what bringing your pet in entails? This is our step-by-step process for ensuring quality care for every animal we see.

1.
Waiting Room
When you arrive to our spacious lobby you will be greeted by one of our Customer Service Representatives to take your information and then can take a seat for a brief wait.
A nurse will then call your name and bring you into one of our 6 exam rooms.
-
If you filled out your pre-visit questionnaire they will simply take vitals and confirm the provided information before getting the Veterinarian.
-
If the questionnaire was not filled out they will simply ask a couple questions prior to taking vitals.
2.
Exam
The nurse will bring a Veterinarian to do a complete nose to tail examination. Here are a few things that ensure every exam is comprehensive and what you can expect:
-
We use AI to transcribe our conversation for thorough notes.
-
Appointments are 30 minutes long so no one is rushed.
-
If we need to run diagnostics in the back you may need to wait which can be in the exam room, lobby or go upstairs to get a coffee and or bagel.
-
The Veterinarian will verify you do not have any questions prior to ending the appointment.
-
The nurse will go over your medications and any estimates for future procedures the Veterinarian may have recommended. If needed an estimate may be sent later.
-
The nurse will check you out in the exam room with Apple Pay or Tap capability.
-
The invoice will be emailed to you unless you prefer print.
Having Surgery?
Wondering what bringing your pet in for surgery entails? Here are the steps from start to finish.
1.
Scheduling
When scheduling your pet’s surgical procedure, you will be assigned a time between 7:30am-9:30am for surgical intake.
Please note that this may take up to 15 minutes to get signatures or go over any concerns with our surgical intake nurses.
2.
Prep
You will receive an estimate and an authorization for treatment consent form. We will also schedule a time prior to your surgical procedure to have bloodwork and premedications sent home with you to administer prior to the procedure day. Premedications include a drug that helps with nausea and a medication to help ease your pets anxiety, since leaving your pet parents during the day can be difficult for some.
3.
Arrival
When you arrive an intake nurse will bring you & your pet into the exam room and ask if you have any further questions. If you have signed your forms prior to the morning this can save you some time with intake.

The nurse will then escort your pet into the back, securing any items you bring with your pet into their own cubby. The pet will get a nose to tail exam by our surgeon prior to any treatments or medications. The surgical team will come up with a line up for the day based on the hospitals demand and preparedness of the patient.
4.
Recovery + Pick-up
When your pet is in recovery with a nurse the veterinarian will call you and let you know how the procedure went and a go home time for the patient.

When you come to pick up your pet, you will check in with the front desk team and pay for your procedure.

A nurse will then call you into a discharge room and will go over all care instructions and send you home with detailed discharge instructions. If needed the Veterinarian rather than nurse will go over discharge instructions. At the end of the visit a nurse will schedule a recheck appointment as needed.
We will then help you and your pet get out to your vehicle if needed.
Care Appt.
A Care Team Appointment is when your pet is scheduled with a nurse only and is a great way to have your pet seen for routine services.
Who is it for?
If your patient has been seen for an annual examination within the year of service you can schedule a care team appointment for boosters, anal sac expressions, medicine administration, etc.
Scheduling
You can schedule a care team appointment online or by calling our office and mentioning "Care Appointment".
Arrival
When you arrive you will check in with a team member and a nurse will come into the lobby and speak with you about the services you requested for your pet. If you filled out the pre-visit questionnaire they can simply confirm your requests.

We will then take your pet to our treatment area and perform any services or treatments requested before returning to you in the lobby with an explanation of what occurred.

A nurse or CSR will get you invoiced and an email of your receipt will be sent to you. Upon request we can also print a copy for you.
